Coming in hot this winter with our second KITH x Frankies Bikinis collaboration. With KITH being one of founder and creative director Francesca Aiello's favorite retailers, it was only suiting that a second collection was coming. This time, the brands pushed to blur the lines between street style and beachwear. "My design aesthetic is very similar to theirs," Francesca explains, "in terms of trends that are happening in streetwear and in the fashion industry, more than what's happening in the swim industry." That's Francesca's MO, always looking to change it up and shock the swim industry with never before seen concepts. "I see KITH doing the same thing with their collections," she goes on to explain, "so I feel like it's just a perfect union of the two brands." Consisting of seven crushed velvet pieces, some bikini styles, some clothing, the collection is sure to please both brands' customer base.
Always seeking to tie her designs back to her personal style - Francesca looks to create pieces that are "more bang for your buck" and can be paired back with denim or sweats for a more versatile look. This time around, she wanted to find a unique fabric that wasn't the so-called norm, something a bit more elevated than the typical swim fabric - making it feel more like streetwear. Crushed velvet swimwear was the answer. Neon pink, neon green, and soft grey were the colors selected with a variety of cuts and styles in an effort to cater to everyone's personal style.
This all-new, innovative collection is now available for purchase at Kith.com - run, do not walk.
