Our 2022 collaboration is finally here: Gigi Hadid x Frankies Bikinis. With over thirty cover features on Vogue, walking designer runways around the world, and now co-hosting the Netflix series, Next in Fashion, Gigi is hands down one of the most influential supermodels of her generation.
When speaking on the collaboration, Gigi says, "Frank (referencing Founder and Creative Director, Francesca Aiello) and I have been friends for so long, since before our careers started, cheering each other on from near and far through everything. So to be able to come together to design and shoot a collection after a decade in this industry is a surreal moment.”
"This collection is rooted in friendship," Francesca says. Gigi and Francesca grew up together in Malibu. They spent their care-free days trying on micro bikinis from Francesca's extensive swimsuit drawer, biking barefoot to the beach where they would lay out with friends until sunset.

Gigi Hadid x Frankies Bikinis - a collection reminiscent of Gigi’s simple days spent at her family’s cozy countryside home. This collection introduces nature-infused prints like our "Honeysuckle" yellow print, our "Strawberry Cream" print which arrives in our signature terry fabric, and our most dreamy "Yomi Toile Blue" print. All these pieces were designed for mixing and matching, especially alongside our apparel from Gigi Hadid x Frankies Bikinis.
Drawing inspiration from countryside and coastal living, Gigi and Francesca decided to shoot this campaign in the hills of Malibu. "It's a day none of us will ever forget," says Francesca. "We even brought in our other childhood best friend, Alana O'Herlihy, to shoot the campaign." Alana's photography and videography have been featured in Vogue and Paper Magazine. She's shot for brands such as Gucci, Maybelline, and Miaou, and she's worked with celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Alexa Demie, Bella Hadid, and Rosalia.

When speaking about her and Gigi's friendships, Francesca says, “Gigi is someone that is so special and so inspiring to me. She is creative, hard-working, kind and loving, and combining those incredible personality traits with our deep-rooted friendship is what really made this collection not only fun to create together, but also to shoot together.” Francesca continues, "This was also one of my favorite collections to design because there was no holding back on giving every detail meaning. We wanted designs that reminded us of our time together growing up in Malibu and prints reminiscent of Gigi's time at her countryside home."
Gigi x Frankies Bikinis re-introduces some of our most-loved designs such as the Tia top, the Harlow top, as well as new favorites such as the Fawn one piece (which sold out in under three minutes, but is now back in stock) and the Scarlet top.

Gigi says, “We designed this collection with so much love, and I believe that really shines through in the details within the fabrics, prints, and styles we chose to use. Both Frank and I have very social lives but also are big homebodies, and the collection really embodies that side of us.”
While creating this collection, Francesca wanted a way to highlight Gigi as a new mother, which is why it only made sense they create something to wear for Gigi's one-year-old daughter Khai.
